All of the fabrics used in creating Mad about Mod accessories are guaranteed to be vintage. Although sometimes I am lucky enough to find a bolt of unused fabric, most have had a previous life and are washed in a gentle detergent on delicate and hung to dry in order to bring them back to their original beauty without fading. Silk and other specialty fabrics are dry cleaned. Only the best textiles are accepted to represent the era, some flaws may appear from the original dying process, but in no way takes away from the beauty of your Mod accessory it simply adds to the uniqueness!

Construction & Care

*Wall Hangings from Mad About Mod all start with a solid wood frame construction. Each frame is covered in unbleached muslin, upholstered with a rare vintage fabric. The completed panel is scotchguard protected and finished off with a wire hanger. A simple vacuum with the brush attachment is all that is needed to keep your Mod accessories dust free and looking Groovy.

*Pillows from Mad About Mod are all hand constructed with rare vintage fabric front and back, a resilient high lofting waterfowl feather pillow insert with ticking cover, and an invisible zipper unless otherwise stated. Completed Pillows are scotchguard protected for easy care arriving plump and ready to toss. A simple spot cleaning for minor spills,hand wash or let the dry cleaners handle more serious spills. An occasional fluff and Plump will keep your Mod Feather pillows looking full and Fabulous.

*Lamp Shades from Mad About Mod all start with a new drum shaped shade, with a washer type fitter. Shades are covered and trimmed in rare mod vintage fabric and scotchguard protected for ease of cleaning.
